Our Staff

Emma Bate and Jane Beirne started the Happy House Childminding company through a shared love of the Early Years. Together, they believe that each child is individual and with support, care and attention can achieve their full potential.

Emma Bate

Emma is 34 years old and lives with her husband and 2 children, aged 7 and 3. She is a caring and loving mother, who has dedicated the past 7 years of her life to raising her children and providing them with opportunities to learn, develop and grow as individuals.

It is because of her experiences since becoming a mother that led her to train in child care and subsequently set up her own childminding service.

Emma loves to spend time with friends and family, and is an avid reader.  She spends her weekends with family visiting the park, local farms and play areas.

Jane Beirne

Jane is a loving, caring mother and grandmother. She has spent much of her life raising her own children, now aged 34, 32, 31 and 24, and is now very involved in the lives of her 5 grandchildren aged between 3 and 8.

Jane is dedicated to a career in childcare and this has stemmed from her extensive experience of being a house wife and mother. She is passionate about ensuring children develop high self esteem, confidence and independence.

Jane enjoys treating her grandchildren to day trips on the weekends and is also interested in cooking and baking.
